Afri G continues to search the globe for new and exciting fishing destinations and we are pleased to say we have found some fisheries that we felt were worth investing in. Afri G is preserving these waters through sustainable fishing and a strict Catch and Release policy

Destinations

SEKOMA ISLAND LODGE

A “Robinson Crusoe” island, it teems with indigenous fauna and abundant flora and boasts more than 70 different fish species.

The waters surrounding Sekoma Island are only navigable by mokoro (dugout boat) except the northern point area which has been converted into the Lodge’s harbour and clients

  • Main Species - Tiger fish and Nembwe

  • Season - May to Nov ( July - Sep = Peak ) 

  • Max 2 rods per boat

SHUGULI FISHING CAMP

The Ulanga River, also known as the Kilombero River, is a river that starts in the southwest of Tanzania on the eastern slope of the East African Rift that flows northeast into the Rufiji River then to the Indian Ocean.

Pristine Game Management Area Teaming with Wildlife!!

  • Main Species - Tanzanian Tiger

  • Season - October to November 

  • Max 2 rods per ranger/guide

ASCENSION BAY

Ascension Bay is arguably one of the best light tackle fisheries in the world!! Sight fishing for Tarpon, Permit, Snook, Bone Fish, Jack Crevalle and Barracuda

  • Main species - Bone fish , Tarpon and  Permit 

  • Season - May to July  

  • Max 2 rods per boat

FANCY-FREE TROUT RETREAT

  • Season - Jan to April
